The second week of our time at Snow Mountain Ranch began with Chaplain Steve's talk on courage. Chaplain Steve used the story of Joshua and Caleb and the Israelite spies' reports of Canaan to exemplify how courage requires faith. As leaders, Chaplain Steve reminded us to take risks and trust that God will be faithful in our endeavors and our life journeys themselves. After the meeting many small groups headed to the Buckboard Grill for refreshments before breaking off to end the night with a sharing time.
On Wednesday, the Calvin group was planning on doing a high ropes course on property to explore courage in a more concrete way. Unfortunately, the activity fell through at the last minute due to a few logistical problems and had to be rescheduled for later in the summer. Instead, some of the group headed back to the grill to enjoy some down time.
